 Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not. Jeremiah 20:9I heard a story today about Florence Chadwick, who on July 4, 1951 set out to be the first woman to swim 21 miles across the Catalina Channel. During her swim, the weather was rough and foggy, the water was cold and sharks were consistently attempting to have her for dinner but she kept going. Approximately 1 1/2 miles from the shore, she signaled the rescue boat to pick her up and her attempt ended. When asked why she quit, she responded “if I could have seen the shore, I would have made it” but because of the fog she had no idea she was almost where she was trying to go. The story and the word that followed was so on time because I have found myself there lately. I try to help people get to a better place and they seem to not want to go, I am called to people that fight me every step of the way to improve their life, I am in an environment that drains me emotionally, spiritually and mentally every day because there is so much dysfunction there and as a result I have felt like throwing in the towel and DOING ME! Problem is my purpose is to be a light, I have been created to lead the lost and I will never be happy doing anything else. O Lord, You induced me, and I was persuaded; You are stronger than I, and have prevailed. I am in derision daily; Everyone mocks me. Jeremiah 20:7 Even though you are going through on a daily basis, you must remember that God is with you in whatever you are in and in the end you will win if you stay in the game. Don’t give up and don’t quit. You are too close to the place you have been working so hard to get. I know you can’t see it now and it feels like you will never have it but I have been sent to you today to tell you - YOU ARE ALMOST THERE! God understands your struggles, He hears your prayers and He feels your pain but before you were you, you were what He created you to be. God knows what you are capable of because He gave you what you need to do what He needs you to do. YOU CANNOT QUIT NOW! Keep working, keep speaking, keep moving forward, keep believing and keep trusting. YOU ARE ALMOST THERE! In the end, you will win, |
