Did you know...
                               Two long-time Brokers have merged

Anthony Barnes of Barnes and Associates and W. A. Casey of Birmingham Guaranty have merged into one full-service realty company. I happened to have worked with and for both brokers.
Anthony Barnes, President and CEO of Barnes and Associates, holds two degrees from Jefferson State Community College and Lawson State Community College. Barnes has furthered his studies at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Barnes’ career in real estate began in 1983 and he started his own real estate company in 1989.
Barnes served from 1994-1998 on the State of Alabama Real Estate Commission as a Commissioner and holds all professional designations available in residential brokerage. Barnes’ community involvement includes, but is not limited to, Chairman of the United Negro College Fund and Scholarship Gala for two conservative years, 2002 and 2003; member of the Vulcan Kiwanis Club, a graduate of the 1995-96 class of Leadership Birmingham, a graduate of 2003-2004 class of Leadership Alabama; served on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Housing Finance Authority and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Sickle Cell Foundation, Central Alabama and served as its Fund Raiser Chairman 2008-2009. Anthony Barnes holds an honorary degree from Miles College and has served on the Water Works Board for more than 14 years.

  W. A. Casey folllowed in the footsteps of his father who sold, managed and developed real estate with his friend J. H. Berry. After volunteering with the military, where he served as a drill sergeant, Casey attended Central State University in Wilber Force, Ohio, where he was elected Outstanding Marketing Student in his senior year. He returned to Birmingham and became the first African-American manager with J.C. Penney. With a deep burning entrepreneurial spirit, W.A. obtained his real estate license and Broker’s license and opened his own company to become one of the most well respected minority brokers in the State. His real estate experience and affiliations are extensive with lots of training by him and with him. W. A. has served as a Deacon of Sixteenth Street Baptist Church and is a Deputy Grand Chancellor of Alabama Knights of Pythias.
The combining of agents into one centrally located office is going to be profitable for all involved, increasing the might and the fight to serve the community’s real estate needs  who will benefit from the expertise of these two gentlemen.
We, the experienced professional agents at Barnes and Associates, know our market and are available to serve you in an ethical manner.
