 Trial attorney Willie Gary recently announced that Nicholas Voglio and Alicia Phidd will join his Florida-based law firm of Gary, Williams, Lewis and Watson, P.L., as associate attorneys. Voglio and Phidd will assume their new positions immediately and will be based in the law firm’s main office in Stuart, Florida.
  Nicholas Voglio is a member of the New Jersey, New York and Florida Bars. He joins the Firm from New Jersey where he most recently was a solo practitioner specializing in personal injury, family law and criminal/municipal law. He also served as an Assistant Public Defender for the Township of Woodbridge, N.J. where he represented indigent clients in criminal court for various offenses. Mr. Voglio received a B.S. in Finance from St. John’s University in Staten Island, New York and his law degree from Touro College of Law in Huntington, New York. In addition, Mr. Voglio also spent over 10 years as New York City Police Officer serving in various capacities prior to attending law school.
 Alicia M. Phidd has built an exemplary legal career and will bring to the Firm her expertise in the practice areas of commercial law, business law, real estate law and employment law. She comes to Gary, Williams, Lewis and Watson, P.L. from Xaymaica Law Center, P.A. in Palm Harbor, Florida where she was responsible for the direction of cases in litigation and transactional matters. Phidd received her B.S. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, a Masters degree in Environmental Studies from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and her law degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. She is a member of the Florida Bar and holds membership in the Florida Bar Business Law & alternate dispute resolution section, United States Court of Appeals for the 4th and 11th Circuits, Florida Bar Law Related Education Committee and University of South Florida Advisory Council Committee.

 Gary and his legal team are known for taking on some of the nation’s most powerful corporate giants. In 1995, a jury awarded Gary and his legal team a record-breaking, half-billion dollars against one of the world’s largest funeral chains, The Loewen Group. In addition, Gary is noted for winning a $240 million jury verdict in Orange County against the Walt Disney Corporation for his clients who alleged that Disney stole their idea for a sports theme park. In 2001, a jury awarded Gary a $139.6 million verdict for the Maris Distributing Company against Anheuser Busch.
