 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Cox Media Group welcomes Paul Orr to the programming staff in Birmingham. Paul will assume programming duties for WZZK, 104.7 the flagship station of the nationally syndicated Rick and Bubba Show.
 “Paul is a fierce competitor and will make sure that WZZK remains committed to community and delivering the best on air product to country music fans in Birmingham,” said David R. DuBose, Vice President and Market Manager Birmingham.
 Paul is a second-generation broadcaster having learned the business from his parents, Jerome and Margie Orr. He has programmed, produced and voiced some of America’s finest country radio stations. Career highlights include launches at KTST - Oklahoma City and WWGR - Fort Myers, as well as serving as a brand manager for Clear Channel overseeing country outlets in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Little Rock, Fort Myers and others. More recently he returned KRMD to the lead country station in Shreveport and for the last three years, handled programming duties at Journal’s Q93 in Knoxville.
 Paul stated, “I look forward to working with our strategic team at Cox to further restore WZZK’s dominance. I’m grateful to David and Randy for the opportunity to join one of America’s legendary country radio stations.”
