The Kiwanis Club of Vulcan cordially invites the Stillman College Alumni Association, Birmingham Chapter to its inaugural “Children Are Our Future Gala.’ This fund-raising event will be held, Friday, May 18, at Boutwell Auditorium, Exhibition Hall. The attire is semi-formal and the cost is $50 per person or $400 for a reserved table which seats eight. A Meet the Honorees Reception and silent auction will begin at 7p.m., followed by an awards program and an electrifying rhythm and blues concert, featuring Birmingham’s own premier vocalist and actress, Ms. Belinda George Peoples, who has starred in such musical productions as “Respect,” “The Wiz,” and “Ain’t Misbehavin.” The purpose of the gala is to raise funds to help support the Kiwanis’ community outreach program which helps children to develop into responsible, confident, and caring adults, equipped to be Birmingham’s future community leaders. The gala’s theme is “Children Are Our Future.” The support of Stillman College Alumni Association will be deeply appreciated.
