As He Opens ScriptureMany people speak and write, talk and say they know the Scripture, but no one really knows unless the Holy Spirit teaches. You are what you indulge in; you know what you meditate in; you understand that which you seek after. God said to Joshua, “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage- be strong and very courageous.” God wanted Joshua to understand the only way he could be strong and courageous, he had to always pray, seek Him and only look to Him for guidance, otherwise, he would surely fail. God reinforced Joshua’s thinking by continuously reminding him to be strong. God knew the only way he could continue to flow with Him, he had to continuously seek His Face. The only way to walk in Moses’ shoes, he had to do what Moses did, and that was to remain before him for guidance in every situation and circumstance. Do you seek the Lord for understanding? God has not changed His method of seeking Him for guidance, understanding, wisdom and knowledge. He said in Proverbs 2:7, “He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous, and He is a buckler to those who walk uprightly.” Therefore, if you want to understand how to walk with the Lord in obedience, you must continuously seek Him, because all wisdom, knowledge and understanding come from the Lord. You can understand how to use knowledge by and through the wisdom that come from the Lord. You may have much knowledge, but how to apply it comes from the Lord. Your knowledge and understanding are good, but how to use it is limited. You see, God has ALL knowledge. He is willing to give to you what you need. He is Omniscient, which means all knowledge is in God Almighty. When God’s Anointing raised Jesus from the grave, He walked with some of His followers, and they did not know who He was. He walked and talked with them and they did not recognize it was Jesus. Luke explained in his Gospel that the two walked with Jesus and did not know it was He. You see, you may attend church service each time the doors open or occasionally, and do not know Jesus. You see, unless you invite Jesus into your heart, He will not come in. At one point, He was about to depart from them, but they persuaded Him to stay with them; it was only then that their hearts were touched; which means He touched their hearts to understand that He was with them all the time. [Luke 24:15-31] As Jesus broke the ‘bread,’ He opened the eyes of their hearts. You see, unless the Holy Spirit touches your understanding, you cannot understand the Word of God. Jesus said in John 14:26, the Holy Spirit will bring all things to your remembrance; all things He had said. When you apply yourself, the Holy Spirit will help you. www.thealmighryeyes.com |
